Abjad script (consonant phoneme writing) is a writing system of characters. Its characteristic is that each symbol represents a consonant. The alphabet of consonant phoneme writing has only consonant letters and no vowel letters. Therefore, when reading an article aloud, appropriate vowels must be added to pronounce the right words.  Typical consonant phoneme characters are “Phoenician alphabet”, “Arabic alphabet” and so on.
