CALL FOR ACTION
Globe Language has launched an initiative on the “International Phonetic Text” (IPT) system.
The aim of this initiative is to provide a more accessible, flexible, and intuitive representation of speech sounds, with specific recognizable and readable spelling text that matches most languages. IPT will help people pronounce the speech sounds but also help them read and write languages other than their native languages. In other words, with a combination of 26 Latin alphabets, it is designed to pronounce most speech sounds for all languages (alphabet/non-alphabet), and also to present a script (text) as close as to the original languages so that both native speakers and foreign speakers will be able to listen, speak, read, and write the languages simultaneously.
We call for action in these areas:
- Post or email your valuable suggestions and advice on Globe Language and IPT system.
- Record your voice audio native pronunciation of words if possible.
- Spell your native words with IPT format* if your language is not on our list yet.
- Help to post the words of the whole list needed to be posted if you’d like to learn more languages.
- Post your own list of words in your native languages
- Report any mistake or misused input on the list.
*Check the standards and characteristics of the IPT section and examples of the list on previous blog posts
