Translinguistics
Translinguistics is an interdisciplinary field that explores the relationships between languages and the underlying cognitive processes involved in language use. It encompasses the study of language transfer, multilingualism, code-switching, and language acquisition, among other topics. Translinguistics aims to understand how different languages influence each other, both in individual minds and in society, and how people navigate communication and linguistic diversity in various contexts. Researchers in translinguistics often examine linguistic phenomena across different languages and cultures to gain insights into the fundamental properties of languages, universal and specific aspects of human language and cognition.
