(Fe) ف = f in “fish”

(Gāf) گ = g in “go”

(He) ھ = h in “hat”

(Ḥe) ح = h (a heavy ‘h’)

(He Do Chashmi) ہ = h (Pronounced like ‘h’ with a breathy sound)

(He Gol) ھ = h (Pronounced like ‘h’ in some words)

(Hamzah) ء = h (Glottal stop, like a brief pause)

(Khe) خ = (c)h as a guttural sound “Bach” in German

(Je) ج = j in “jump”

(Kāf) ک = k in “kite”

(Lām) ل = l in “lamp”

(Me) م = m in “man”

(Noon) ن = n in “nest”

(Nūn Ghunnā) ں = n (Nasal sound, as in ‘n’ in French “on”)
